Brad Pitt

Brad Pitt’s Hollywood name is adapted from his real name, William Bradley Pitt. He grew up and went to college in Missouri, but his birthplace can be found in Oklahoma. Although Brad Pitt is always topping magazines’ “Sexiest Man Alive” lists, most film critics have found as much to praise about the actor as your typical teenage girl. While his chiseled physique is often on display and his symmetrical face is sometimes half the show in films such as Meet Joe Black, he has distinguished himself from other Hollywood heartthrobs by taking on challenging roles that often require him to be ugly or evil.

Brad Pitt participated in drama productions in high school, but his academic life reflected a broad range of interests that included athletic pursuits and debate activities. He departed Columbia College just shy of graduation in the interest of finding success in Hollywood. One of the rare people for whom this would prove to be a good decision, Pitt had to pay his dues, working a variety of low-paying jobs before landing the acting roles that would lead to his success.

Brad Pitt spent several years filling minor roles on TV series such as “Dallas” and “Growing Pains” before his career started to gain traction. By the early nineties he was considered a rising star, and his star power rose considerably in 1994 when he enjoyed a pair of breakout roles in the films Interview With the Vampire and Legends of the Fall.

Born December 18, 1963 Brad Pitt was a victim of tabloid fodder surrounding his marriage (subsequently dissolved) to Jennifer Aniston, and has continued difficulty dodging the press throughout his relationship with Angelina Jolie.

He remains on good terms with ex-wife Jennifer Aniston, and the two work together in a professional capacity and for charity. He is best friends with Orlando Bloom, and has a growing collaborative relationship with George Clooney.
