Music is a form of human expression in the medium of time using the sturctures of sound or tones in alternation with silence. Over the years musicial instruments in different cultures developed more and more and the expression in terms of pitch, rhythm, harmony and timbre were improved.
Always the definition of what constitus music varies according to culture and social context. Mostly the differences today are parted in serious music, like classic and easy listening. Popmusic and Rock’N’Roll are the most successful categories on that genre. Subcultures like Hip hop or black music, R’N’B or Punkrock, Metal, whatever are more than music today. Sometimes they are political statement or express the attitude of a person. Music also has a rebellious character and sometimes rockstars have more influence on youth than parents or teachers in school. Music has a strange power that you can explain really, but the repercussions are enormous.
